Shelter Homes
The Juvenile Justice Act empowers State Governments to recognize reputed and capable voluntary organizations and provide them assistance to set up and administer Shelter Homes for children in need of care and protection. These homes function as drop-in-centers cum night-shelter for children in need of urgent support who are brought to such homes.
