Workshop on Child Rights and Protection On 30th September 2025, a half-day workshop was organized for Delhi Police Investigating Officers (IOs) focusing on key issues including the Child Marriage Act, Child Labour, Children with Disabilities, and the role of One Stop Centres. The program was presided over by Ms. Parvati, Legal Advisor, SPUWAC under the supervision of the JJU Branch, SPUWAC. This initiative highlights Delhi Police’s commitment towards child protection and safeguarding the rights of vulnerable children.


Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan As part of the ongoing campaign, the Special Police Unit for Women & Children (SPUWAC) organized a Medical Health Check-up Camp for women and children on 29th September 2025 at Possangipur Village, Janakpuri, New Delhi. The camp witnessed active participation from more than 100 women and children and was aimed at promoting health awareness, early detection, and preventive care. Supervised by DCP/SPUWAC Ms. Anjitha Chepyala, the initiative reflects Delhi Police’s continued commitment towards the well-being and empowerment of women and families. A healthy woman builds a stronger family, and a stronger family builds a stronger society.

More than 200 women and children actively participated.

A group of 23 interns, including Incharge Advocate Himanshu from DSLSA, visited SPUWAC. During the visit, the interns were educated and informed about the practical knowledge and functioning of the SPUWAC Unit. The session was organized under the supervision of ACP/HQ/SPUWAC.


A training session on child-related issues was organized at the 2nd Floor Conference Hall, conducted by Ms. Parvati Menon, Legal Consultant, SPUWAC. The session focused on important topics including Child Marriage, Child Labour, Children with Disabilities, and One Stop Centre. A total of 37 Sub-Inspectors from North West District, Central District, Outer North District, North District, and IGI Airport participated in the program. The objective of the session was to enhance and update the knowledge of Investigating Officers working in the field on child-related issues.


A group of 20 interns, including Incharge Advocate Kapil Choudhary from DSLSA, visited SPUWAC. During the visit, the interns were educated and informed about the practical knowledge and functioning of the SPUWAC Unit. The session was organized under the supervision of ACP/HQ/SPUWAC.

The 21st Self Defence Summer Camp 2025 for girls and women was successfully organized at four different locations in all over Delhi in which total 2200 participants attend the above said programme. Closing ceremony was presided by Jt.CP/SPUWAC & SPUNER and Addl. DCP/SPUWAC. For the first time, modern training tools such as hand gloves, kick pads, punching bags, boxing mannequins, and safety equipment were introduced, enhancing the hands-on learning experience.


SPUWAC Nanak Pura hosted a special programme during #DelhiPoliceWeek2025, graced by DCP Akanksha Yadav. Police personnel and their families participated, showcasing strong familial bonds.

A Self-Defense Camp was organized by the SPUWAC Unit's Self-Defense Wing to motivate females.
The closing ceremony of the 9th Self-Defense Techniques Training Winter Camp was held across four different locations in Delhi. Approximately 1,957 participants attended the program, which also included sessions on legal awareness, cyber safety, and gender sensitization.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a yoga session in collaboration with The Art of Living was organised for the staff of SPUWAC and SPUNER on 21.06.2024 at Reception area, SPUWAC, Nanak Pura.A total of 120 police personnel participated in the aforesaid session.

Today a workshop conducted regarding Transgender Act and POSH Act 2013, for the staff of SPUWAC and SPUNER Nanakpura on 21/3/24 from 11 am to 12.30 pm and another session from 12.30 pm to 2pm by training branch. The workshop was addressed by guest faculty Dr. Naheed Mustafa Asstt. Professor Law of school (JAMIA HAMDARD UNIVERSITY), total participant -43, got benefitted.

Today i.e 15/08/2023 on the occasion of National function i.e. 76th Independence day and compaign of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - Har Ghar Tiranga, Celebration of Independence day & National Flag hoisting programme headed by Jt.CP Sh. P.N Khrimey IPS, has been organised at SPUWAC/SPUNER NANAKPURA DELHI. The staff were also motivated & briefed by Jt. CP about the importance of the independence day.

Today i.e 14/08/2023 on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - Har Ghar Tiranga, National Flags, were Distributed to the staff of SPUWAC/SPUNER, NANAKPURA NEW DELHI and to other public persons. The function was celebrated at SPUWAC/SPUNER NANAKPURA DELHI. The staff and public persons were briefed by Jt.CP/SPUWAC/SPUNER Sh. P.N Khrimey IPS regarding how to display national flag and make the event successful.

International Yoga Day

On the special occasion of "INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY" Yoga programme was held on 21.06.2023 at 07.30 am, at SPUWAC Nanak Pura Delhi. A total around 200 police personnel participants of SPUWAC & SPUNER attended the yoga programme. The self defence wing of SPUWAC Unit has performed yoga/meditation.


MOU between Delhi Police & NSS Directorate of Minstry of Youth Affairs & Sports

A MOU was signed between Delhi Police & NSS Directorate of Minstry of Youth Affairs & Sports today at PHQ whereby Delhi Police would provide self defence training to 40,000 NSS volunteers. Function was presided over by Ms Meeta Rajivlochan, Secretary, MoYA&S and Mr SK Gautam, Special CP, SPUWAC.
