The Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC), Delhi Police conducted a three-day capacity-building workshop at its Nanakpura office from 29th to 31st December 2025 under the guidance of senior officers of SPUWAC.

The programme focused on strengthening the handling of Cyber Tipline Reports (CTRs) received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and enhancing investigative capabilities in cases involving Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Material (CSEAM).

SHOs and Investigating Officers from all Cyber Police Stations and IFSO participated in the workshop, with expert sessions by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) on Online Crime Against Women and Children (OCWC), legal frameworks, investigation techniques, and victim-centric procedures, strengthening our fight against CSEAM.

Preventive action was taken to ensure public safety.


Today, on 20 December 2025, a Self-Defence ‘Sashakti’ Programme was successfully organized at India Gate to promote safety and empowerment.


The SPUWAC Unit and South-West District staff interacted with women and students during the drive, encouraging them to stay alert, seek help when needed, and use official helplines without hesitation to ensure their safety.

A State Level Advisory Body Meeting with Senior Citizens was held today, i.e. 18.12.2025 at 12:00 Noon, under the chairmanship of Shri Ajay Chaudhry, Spl. Commissioner of Police, SPUWAC, Delhi, at Vimarsh Hall, 2nd Floor, Tower-I, Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi. The meeting was attended by 15 SENIOR CITIZENS FROM ALL DISTRICTS AND Joint CP, Addl. CP, and DCP of SPUWAC, along with senior police officers from all Districts and Traffic Unit of Delhi Police.


A Cyber Awareness Programme was conducted at SPUWAC Office, Nanakpura Conference Hall, highlighting latest cybercrimes, emerging digital threats and preventive measures. Senior citizens were sensitised on Digital Arrest frauds, cyber scam prevention and safe online practices through an interactive session.

Cyber Awareness Program for Senior Citizens Today, a Cyber Awareness Program was organized at the Special Police Unit for Women & Children (SPUWAC), where 40 senior citizens actively participated. The session focused on promoting cyber safety awareness, educating participants about online fraud prevention, and encouraging safe digital practices. The initiative reflects Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to empower citizens through knowledge and proactive awareness.


Vigilance Awareness Week Pledge Ceremony Today, on 28th October 2025 at 1100 hours, during the celebration of Vigilance Awareness Week, a pledge was taken by all staff and senior officers of Special Police Unit for Women & Children (SPUWAC) and Special Police Unit for North Eastern Region (SPUNER) to uphold the values of honesty and integrity in their duties. Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan As part of the ongoing campaign, the Special Police Unit for Women & Children (SPUWAC) organized a Medical Health Check-up Camp for women and children on 29th September 2025 at Possangipur Village, Janakpuri, New Delhi. The camp witnessed active participation from more than 100 women and children and was aimed at promoting health awareness, early detection, and preventive care. Supervised by DCP/SPUWAC Ms. Anjitha Chepyala, the initiative reflects Delhi Police’s continued commitment towards the well-being and empowerment of women and families. A healthy woman builds a stronger family, and a stronger family builds a stronger society.


Workshop on Child Rights and Protection On 30th September 2025, a half-day workshop was organized for Delhi Police Investigating Officers (IOs) focusing on key issues including the Child Marriage Act, Child Labour, Children with Disabilities, and the role of One Stop Centres. The program was presided over by Ms. Parvati, Legal Advisor, SPUWAC under the supervision of the JJU Branch, SPUWAC. This initiative highlights Delhi Police’s commitment towards child protection and safeguarding the rights of vulnerable children.

A group of 23 interns, including Incharge Advocate Himanshu from DSLSA, visited SPUWAC. During the visit, the interns were educated and informed about the practical knowledge and functioning of the SPUWAC Unit. The session was organized under the supervision of ACP/HQ/SPUWAC.


A training session on child-related issues was organized at the 2nd Floor Conference Hall, conducted by Ms. Parvati Menon, Legal Consultant, SPUWAC. The session focused on important topics including Child Marriage, Child Labour, Children with Disabilities, and One Stop Centre. A total of 37 Sub-Inspectors from North West District, Central District, Outer North District, North District, and IGI Airport participated in the program. The objective of the session was to enhance and update the knowledge of Investigating Officers working in the field on child-related issues.

The 21st Self Defence Summer Camp 2025 for girls and women was successfully organized at four different locations in all over Delhi in which total 2200 participants attend the above said programme. Closing ceremony was presided by Jt.CP/SPUWAC & SPUNER and Addl. DCP/SPUWAC. For the first time, modern training tools such as hand gloves, kick pads, punching bags, boxing mannequins, and safety equipment were introduced, enhancing the hands-on learning experience.


SPUWAC Nanak Pura hosted a special programme during #DelhiPoliceWeek2025, graced by DCP Akanksha Yadav. Police personnel and their families participated, showcasing strong familial bonds.

The closing ceremony of the 9th Self-Defense Techniques Training Winter Camp was held across four different locations in Delhi. Approximately 1,957 participants attended the program, which also included sessions on legal awareness, cyber safety, and gender sensitization.

International Yoga Day

On the special occasion of "INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY" Yoga programme was held on 21.06.2023 at 07.30 am, at SPUWAC Nanak Pura Delhi. A total around 200 police personnel participants of SPUWAC & SPUNER attended the yoga programme. The self defence wing of SPUWAC Unit has performed yoga/meditation.


MOU between Delhi Police & NSS Directorate of Minstry of Youth Affairs & Sports

A MOU was signed between Delhi Police & NSS Directorate of Minstry of Youth Affairs & Sports today at PHQ whereby Delhi Police would provide self defence training to 40,000 NSS volunteers. Function was presided over by Ms Meeta Rajivlochan, Secretary, MoYA&S and Mr SK Gautam, Special CP, SPUWAC.
